How to fill in concrete

If you decide to build a small building on your own land, you need to know, how to fill concrete, since it is this material that is used to construct the foundation of the future building.
To get you started, You will need to purchase a sufficient amount of cement and sand. In itself, concrete is a cement-sand mortar, mixed in certain proportions. As a rule, to fill the foundation use the ratio of cement to sand 1: 4.
When buying cement, be sure to pay attention to its brand, which must be at least 500. To calculate the necessary amount of cement and sand, it should be taken into account that 4 bags of cement are needed to produce one cubic meter of solution. Be very careful when calculating.
Before preparing the solution, be sure to sift the sand. For this you can use special construction sieve with cells no larger than 10x10millimeters. If you do not have such a sieve, you can use the grid from the old bed, which you need to install vertically. Then just throw a shovel on the net sand. Thus, a mound of sifted sand will form from the back of the mesh.
The solution should be mixed in some large container in the immediate vicinity of the excavation, which will need to be dug in advance to equip the foundation. Otherwise, you will leave the pouring of concrete is very time consuming, as it will have to be carried in buckets from the tank to the pit.
If there is a possibility, we recommend using a special mobile concrete mixerwhich can be found in any construction shop or rented. Such devices are very convenient in operation, as they are easy to transport and tilt to pour concrete into the pit.
We should also talk about reinforcement. For the installation of the foundation required it is necessary to use fittings, which is suitable for special rods or steel wire with a large cross-section. In addition, for reinforcement, you can use almost any metal objects: corners, pipes, rods, channels and so on. Particular attention should be given to reinforcementangles, since this part of the foundation must be strong enough. Otherwise, chips will appear at the corners. The reinforcement must be stacked step by step: first one layer of the foundation with reinforcement is poured, and then a new one is applied.
You should not be afraid to pour a lot of water into the pit. Thanks to water, the solution will become denser, which will allow it to more firmly and reliably fit the foundation reinforcement. After the last belt layer is poured, it is necessary to pour a small layer (1-2 millimeters) of dry pure cement. Now you need to wait until the foundation is completely dry, after which you can proceed to laying the socle.
As you could see, pour concrete forfoundation is not so difficult, as it may seem at first glance. The main thing is the presence of a sufficient amount of cement, sand and water, as well as the necessary tools. In addition, it is better not to do this work yourself, but to call one or two people. The fact is that sand sifting and stirring of the mortar are rather lengthy and time consuming procedures. However, if you are not sure that you can perform all the described actions yourself, we recommend that you seek help from specialists.
