How to choose interior doors

To think about the choice of interior doors, when you already imagine how the room will look after repairs. But, as already mentioned, pay attention tonot only how the door looks, but also what material it is made of, how reliable it is, durable and functional. Let's talk in more detail about how to choose interior doors.
First, determine the size of the door. It depends on the width of the doorway. If the width of the opening is 80-90 cm, a standard single-leaf door can be dispensed with. But if the opening is wider than a meter, you will either have to choose a double-leaf interior door (swinging, sliding, "accordion"), or during the repair to reduce the opening.
Then you need to determine the budget that you are ready tospend on buying a door. It depends on the estimated amount that you can choose the interior doors. The most expensive, but the most high-quality option - solid wood doors. They look beautiful, environmentally friendly, durable and durable.
But keep in mind that even in this category there may be a scatter in quality and price. For example, doors made of soft rocks (for example, pine) is cheaper than solid hardwood doors, but they are far from being so durable. The quality of the doors is also determined by the exact observance of the technology of wood drying, as well as the quality of the glues and varnishes used in the manufacture.
So even the doors from a solid array may not be as high-quality as it is stated in promotional materials. The problem is also that interior doors are not subject to mandatory certification: certification is voluntary. So try to choose among manufacturers who have already proven themselves well. If you want to save money, it is better to choose interior MDF doors of high quality than low-quality doors from the array.
Doors from MDF - this is a more budget option. They are practical, durable, do not deform from moisture (unlike soft wood doors). The price of such doors depends mainly on the finish. The cheapest option is laminated doors, they are covered with artificial material with a pattern of wood texture. Slightly more expensive (but at the same time more quality), the doors covered strong PVC film, also with a picture of a tree.
Finally, you can choose interior doors covered with veneer - a thin layer of valuable wood species - and openedtransparent varnish. The price of such a door will depend on what kind of wood the veneer is made of, but the quality of the door does not affect the veneer, so in this case you pay exclusively for the "cover".
If you have very tight finances, you can choose interior doors with honeycomb structure (mezzanite), this is the most economical option. Such doors look beautiful, they can be painted in a variety of colors, besides, they are very light. But they also have significant shortcomings: low noise insulation, a relatively short service life, a need for careful operation.
You can choose the deaf or glazed interior doors. Please note that the glass doors are worsesoundproofing. If you prefer a glazed door, you need to make sure that the glass is firmly secured. It is advisable to choose doors with tempered or shatterproof glass - for safety reasons.
But keep in mind that the door is not only a doorcloth. At least half of the total cost of the door (and sometimes much more) consists of a door frame, trim, dock, feigned bar, threshold, hinges and other components. It is the quality of components that largely determines the quality of the door. Take care that the door frame and other wooden components are made of the same material as the door itself.
As we have already said, interior doors are not subject to mandatory certification. But when choosing it is necessary to give preference to products that have a passport with the specified GOSTs and SNiPs. The very fact of having this passport proves that the manufacturer values reputation, once decided to invest in voluntary certification of products to confirm their quality.
And the last: keep in mind that if you need to choose interior doors for the whole apartment, they should not only be in harmony with the design of the rooms in which you plan to install them, but also combine. Ideally, you should choose models from one ruler.
