Automatic doorsEveryone knows how convenient automatic doors are, especially when the hands are occupied with bags or bags when leaving the supermarket.

The drive of a swing door according to its constructionresembles a large door closer equipped with an electric motor. Being installed above the door from the inside of the room, the swinging drive with the help of lever rods of various shapes opens the usual swing door to the outside or inside.

Its merit is a relatively smallthe cost (it is cheaper than the sliding door drive), the disadvantage is the low intensity, since the swing door experiences greater loads when moving than the sliding door. In Europe, swing automation has been most prevalent in Scandinavia with its cool climate (a swinging door is better than a sliding door around the perimeter), the presence of many small but expensive shops and a high level of care for people with disabilities.

In the case of sliding automatic doorsit is absolutely impossible to install, it will be possible to effectively use the split automation to separate the input and output. In this case, the direction of swinging should always be away from the visitor. This eliminates the impact of people with doors and as a result - injuries and malfunctions of the automation.

The quality drive of an automatic glass door has the following characteristics:

  • the opening speed of the two flaps is about 1.5 m / s;

  • the maximum total weight of the valves is 200-250 kg;

  • the resource of the motor-reducer is not less than 2-3 million openings.

All drives of automatic doors are completeda typical set of accessories. It includes motion sensors, electromechanical lock, safety photo cells, emergency batteries and a mode selector (sometimes combining the function of the programmer).

Motion Detectors Is the most important accessory. They cause the automatics to move when the visitor approaches. From the quality of their work, noise immunity, range, depends largely on the effectiveness of the automatic door.

Modern motion detectors are of two types: infrared and microwave. At the same time, all of them act on an active principle - they emit a signal and take it reflected from surrounding objects (the principle of the radar's action). Only such detectors can be installed at the entrance from the street, because they do not react to snow, rain, drafts and sunlight.

Infrared sensor has a wide detection area and highsensitivity. It is advisable to install it when visitors approach the doors from the side. Also useful property of the infrared sensor is the ability to specify the shape of the detection zone based on the geometry of the passage. Infrared sensors work better at high (up to 3 m) aisles.

The following kind of accessories of automatic doors - safety photocells. This is a pair consisting of an infrared transmitterand the receiver, which are mounted to the left and right of the doorway. If there is a person in it, the infrared beam between the receiver and the transmitter will not pass and the automatic drive will not close the shutters until the beam is restored. Such a device is mandatory for installation in accordance with safety requirements. It has a double benefit: the sliding door will not hit the jaunty visitor, and the visitor clamped by the doors will not cause, in trying to free themselves, the skewing of the doors and the associated repairs.

Electromechanical lock of automatic doors Is a special device mounted insideThe drive housing is different in appearance from conventional locks. It is designed for very intensive work and is a special bolt form, moved up by an electromagnet before each opening of the automatic door and releasing the carriage wings. Once the flaps are closed again, the bolt falls down under the action of a return spring. In the non-working time, when the sensors of the automatic door are disabled, the lock reliably blocks the doors, excluding the possibility to extend them from the outside with their hands.

In any extreme situation, when automationit is disconnected and it is required to leave the room by expanding the doors manually, the lock can be easily unlocked from the inside with a special lever fixed to the wall near the door.

Rechargeable batteries - a rather important element of security. They allow the drive to continue operation for at least an hour when the power is cut off (in the event of an accident). When the charge of the batteries runs low, the control unit will detect this and perform a pre-programmed action - leave the door open or closed and stop working. The additional benefit of the battery is that it compensates for temporary voltage drops.

Mode selector Is a pushbutton or rotary switch, which sets the drive to one of the following algorithms:

  • normal mode - both sensors operate, automatic doors open for the entire width of the passage for both incoming and outgoing;

  • one-way mode - the sensor is active only from one side, usually to the output;

  • winter mode - the automatic door does not fully open, limiting the flow of cold air into the room;

  • open door - the drive does not respond to signals from motion detectors, the automatic door is constantly in the open state;

  • closed door - the drive does not respond to motion detector signals, but allows you to open the automatic door by pressing a button installed, for example, in the security room.

There are selector models equippedliquid crystal display. They also allow you to set parameters such as the speed of the wings, the pause time between the open state and the beginning of the closing, etc., but security officers (in most cases they use the selector), often do not have the necessary skills (and special desire) change this kind of settings. They are produced by the personnel of the company servicing the automation, with the help of numerous regulators of the control unit located inside the drive housing.
