To enjoy the taste of ripe strawberries not only in summer, but also in winter, the reserved hostesses in advance make preparations for the winter - including such unusual ones as jelly from fresh strawberries.
By itself, a recipe for jelly from fresh ripe strawberriesvery, very simple - everyone knows that in order to make jelly, it's enough just to mix some juice with gelatin. But in the case of blanks from strawberries for the winter, everything is a little more complicated - after all, the jelly must turn out so that it can be stored all winter, that is, at least the finished product should keep its elastic consistency and taste for several months. Therefore, jelly is prepared from strawberries for the winter according to a special recipe. Fortunately, this recipe does not include so many ingredients, and it's very simple and quick to prepare jelly from strawberries - therefore, even if you are a beginner in the difficult art of conservation and harvesting for the winter, you can easily make your home delicious jelly from ripe berries. For the recipe for jelly from strawberries, not only fresh, but also frozen berries are suitable, but, as long as the season allows, it is better to use fresh strawberries after all.
For the preparation of jelly we need the following ingredients:
- Ripe strawberries - 1 kilogram
- Sugar - 250 milligrams (one glass)
- Gelatin - 20 grams
How to make jelly from strawberries for the winter - step by step recipe
First we will prepare all the necessary ingredients for our future jelly. We peel the berries of the strawberry, rinse it thoroughly under a cool (by no means hot) water, remove the stems.
Now we need a strawberry puree: fall asleep strawberry berries in a blender and whisk until you get a homogeneous pulp.
Ready mashed potatoes from the berries are poured into a smallsaucepan with a flat bottom, add sugar and gelatin, then put on medium heat and bring to a boil. It is very important to constantly stir the mixture for the future of the jelly so that it will be homogeneous. In addition, do not forget to remove foam in time - as is the case with the usual strawberry jam.
