How can I configure the router at home?

Among the set of presented data, we are only interested in one line - the Basic Gateway - this is the address of the router. In the next step, enter the IP address in the browser's address bar to get into the administrative panel of the router for further configuration. However, before you configure the connection to the router, you must prepare for this our PC.
Again, click on the label "Connect tolocal network "right click, now select the" Properties "item. In the window that appears, you should select the Internet Protocol TCP / IP line and again click on the properties. Further, if in the appeared window you have settings for access to the Internet from your provider, they should be copied to the list. Next, check the "Obtain IP automatically" and "Obtain DNS automatically" checkboxes.
How to configure the router yourself
Now the most difficult stage is the adjustment of thedevice. First, go to the WAN tab in the admin panel of the router. In the event that all the Internet connection settings on your PC were "Default" (that is, IP was assigned automatically), then simply select the value of DHCP in the "Type conection" box. Otherwise, you should register the IP address and DNS server, just as it was previously on the computer.
Well, now our router should be connectedto the Internet, it remains to configure it so that it distributes WiFi. To do this, go to the Wireless tab, mark the point Enabled, and in the SSID window write the name of the network. Next, select the protocol and the data channel number (you can leave it automatic). After all these actions go to the Security tab, select the WPA2 data encryption method in the window and set the password for accessing the network.

However, sometimes it may be necessary to additionally prescribe the connection parameters to the router for the PC. In this case, again open the TCP / IP properties, put a check mark next to "Use the following IP address" (DNS).
Now we write the following parameters:
The IP address is 192.168.0.2,
The subnet mask is 255.225.255.0, the default gateway is 192.168.0.1
The preferred DNS server is 192.168.0.1
