Sangria: Recipe for Cooking
If you are planning a party in the hot summerday, be sure to prepare alcoholic drinks with the addition of fruit. You'll see, your guests will definitely like them! The country of the Soviets has already told how to make a krushon, now the Mediterranean sangria, recipe which we offer to your attention.



The native land of sangria is southern Spain and Portugal. It was there that they came up with a drink of red wine, fruit (mainly citrus) and sugar, later called sangria. The recipe for sangria is quite simple and based on five main components: red wine, strong liquor, fruit, sugar, carbonated water or sparkling wine, spices.



There are different types of sangria. So, normal (silent) sangria is made from inexpensive red wine and necessarily includes citrus and grapes, and carbonated water is not added to it. In fruit sangria can add a variety of fruits. White sangria is done with white wine instead of red. Finally, if sangria is added soda water or champagne, it will turn out sparkling sangria.



The recipe for sangria is quite simple: you just need to move all the ingredients andadd ice. In the last turn add sugar (honey) and spices to taste. To taste and flavor of sangria were the most intense, it is advisable to soak the fruit in wine in advance, about 12 hours before serving sangria on the table.



Sangria with mint



An excellent drink that can be served to meat dishes during a barbecue party will be mint sangria. The recipe is quite simple and includes such ingredients:



  • 1.5 liters of carbonated water / "Sprite" (or other similar lemonade)

  • 1 bt. red dry (table) wine

  • 2 apples

  • 1 orange

  • a peel of one lemon

  • 1-2 cinnamon sticks

  • fresh mint - to taste

  • crushed ice


Fruit cut into cubes. Clear them from the peel is not necessary, just remove the core from the apple and the stone from the orange. With a lemon carefully cut a thin layer of peel with a sharp knife.



Fruit and zest are put in a glass jug orcinnamon, add cinnamon and fill it with wine. We put it for several hours in the refrigerator. Before serving, fill with chilled carbonated water or lemonade, add crushed ice and decorate with mint leaves.



Sangria with rum



If you want something stronger, you can prepare sangria with rum. You will get very fragrant and tasty fruit sangria. The recipe for this version of the drink includes such components:



  • 1 bt. red dry (table) wine

  • 500 ml of tonic

  • 350 ml of light rum

  • 200 g strawberries

  • 150 g of cane sugar

  • 1 orange

  • 1 tangerine

  • 1 lemon

  • 1 lime


Strawberries are mine and cleaned of tails, citrus fruitsmy. We cut strawberries into halves, and orange, mandarin, lemon and lime - into slices. We put the fruit in a large jug, fall asleep with sugar and fill it with rum.



We put fruit, filled with rum, in the refrigerator for at least several hours. It is advisable to knead the fruit beforehand and mix everything to make the sugar completely dissolved.



Before serving sangria on the table, lay fruit with rum on glasses, add wine, then tonic. Finally put in each glass for a couple of pieces of ice.



Sangria with orange juice



A very tasty variant of sangria is sangria with orange juice. The recipe for it is almost the same as other sangria recipes. For the preparation of orange sangria we will need such products:



  • 2 bt. red dry wine

  • 200 ml of orange juice

  • 150 ml of cognac

  • 150 g of sugar

  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 2 oranges (small)

  • 2 tangerines

  • 1 apple

  • 1 peach

  • 1 lemon


Fruit my and cut into thin slices (if yyou do not have apples and peaches, you can do without them). Sugar is mixed with cognac, we fill this mixture with fruit, mix it and put it in the refrigerator for the night.



Fruit with cognac is transferred to a jug,add cinnamon, pour cooled wine and orange juice. We let it stand for a quarter of an hour, so that the cinnamon begins to give the wine its aroma. We pour out sangria on glasses and add ice.
