Traditional Sbiten
To prepare a honey sbiten according to a traditional recipe, we will need such ingredients:
6 liters of water
700 g molasses
500 g of honey
5-10 g of a mixture of spices (mint, cinnamon, cloves)
We bring the water to a boil. We add treacle, honey, spices. Boil the drink for about half an hour. We pour out sbiten on cups and drink hot. Patoku can be replaced with the same amount of honey.
Sbiten with wine
When preparing sbitnya water can be replaced with wine, then the drink should not be boiled, but insisted. To make sbiten with wine, we take:
1 liter of dry red wine
150 g of honey
5 grams of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg

Sbiten with chamomile and mint
In the period of rampant infections, the sbiten with medicinal herbs will never be better. For its preparation we should take:
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. honey
0.5 tbsp. of dried mint
0.5 tbsp. chamomile
In this recipe, honey is not required to boil. Fill the chamomile and mint with steep boiling water. We insist for an hour and filter the infusion. Before serving, the herbal infusion is heated to 70-80 ° C, honey is added and immediately fed to the table.
Sbiten flavored
In this version, the sbitnia is much more spicy than in the previous ones. To prepare it, we will need:
1 tbsp. water
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons Sahara
2 pcs. bay leaves
1 tbsp. ginger
1 tbsp. carnations
We bring the water to a boil. We dissolve honey and sugar in it and add ginger, cloves and bay leaf. Boil the drink for about 10 minutes. Then the sbiten should stand for a while. Ready to filter the drink, and pre-heated, but do not boil.
Alcoholic sbiten
Sbiten can be alcoholic, this is achieved by fermentation. But in this case, its preparation will take a lot of time. To make an alcoholic sbiten, we will need:
1 liter of water
250 g of light honey
1 tbsp. raspberry juice
2 tablespoons liquid yeast
Honey is bred in hot water, add crimsonjuice, put on the fire and boil for an hour and a half. The drink should be stirred and stirred periodically. Cool it to a temperature slightly above room temperature, add the yeast and put it in a warm place for half a day. Then merge fermented wort into a clean container of wood, plug it and put it in a cold place for a month. Ready sbiten bottled. For long-term storage, the bottles must be tightly closed and stored horizontally.
Inebriated Sbiten
There is also a faster recipe for making sbitnya "with a degree". Ingredients for its preparation are as follows:
1 kg of honey
25 g yeast
20 g of hops
pinch of cinnamon
Honey is dissolved in boiling water, add cinnamon andhops, put on a small fire and boil. Then drink cool, add yeast, previously diluted in warm water, and put in heat for 8-10 hours. Then put the drink in the refrigerator and stand there for several hours. Sbiten you can drink!
