Greek Dessert: Fruit Dessert
Dessert of fruit can be not only tasty, but also useful. It saturates our body with vitamins and gives a good mood. Since the days of Ancient Greece, original recipes have amazed even the most exquisite gourmets. Country of Soviets will introduce you to some of them.






Some of the most popular in Greek cuisine remain soufflé, fruit and berry salads, omelets with dates, raisins, almonds. And oriental sweets (lukum, halva, candied fruit and nuts) take their roots from Byzantium, during which they were favorite recipes of rulers.



Apricot-apple dessert


To prepare this dessert from fruits, you will need:


  • 4 apples;

  • 10 large ripe apricots;

  • ¾ cup of sugar;

  • 2 tbsp. l. cognac;

  • 5 tbsp. l. raisins;

  • ½ st. hot water.

Prepare the syrup. Add cognac and sugar to the hot water. 5 minutes, boil and leave to cool.


Wash the fruit. Cut apricots into halves and remove bones. Peel apples from the peel, cut out the core, cut into slices. Raisins rinse well in warm water, mix with apples and apricots, and spread out into wide low glasses. Fruit the dessert with syrup. Such a Greek dessert must be served cold.



Dessert of baked apples


To prepare this dish you will need:


  • 6 apples;

  • 2 eggs;

  • 1 tbsp. l. flour;

  • 5 tbsp. l. jam or jam;

  • 5 tbsp. l. sour cream;

  • 1/3 tsp. vanilla sugar;

  • 3 tbsp. l. Sahara;

  • 4 tbsp. l. of powdered sugar.


To prepare syrup, you will need:


  • 2 tbsp. hot water;
  • ½ st. Sahara;

  • citric acid at the tip of the knife.


Apples are washed, peeled and removedthe core. Take an enamel saucepan, mix it sugar, hot water and citric acid. Boil the syrup over low heat. Then cook the prepared apples in a saucepan with syrup and cook until half cooked.


Prepare the sauce. Mix the cooled sour cream with a mixer. Egg yolks pound with sugar and add to sour cream. Sifted wheat flour and vanilla sugar add to the mixture. Separately whip in a tight foam protein with sugar powder. Gradually, stirring, add whipped proteins to the sauce.


Lightly grease the shape with melted creamoil. At the bottom, drill up the apples and fill each with jam. Top with sauce and put in a preheated oven. Bake on medium heat until cooked.



Curd dessert with oranges and figs.


To prepare this Greek dessert, you will need:


  • 0,5 kg of soft curd;

  • 4 ripe berries of figs;

  • 4 oranges;

  • 1 tbsp. thick fresh cream;

  • 3 tbsp. l. liquid honey.


Cool the flat dish in the freezer. Wipe the cheese through a sieve. Wash the figs and finely chop. Peel the orange in small cubes. Mix all ingredients until smooth, except cream. Take out the chilled dish, form large balls and put on it. Beat cream until thick and decorate them with curd balls. For 5 minutes put in the freezer, then served to the table.



Fruit citrus cake


To prepare this original fruit dessert, you will need:


  • 2 oranges;

  • 2 apples;

  • 1 lemon;

  • 2 bananas;

  • 15 dates;

  • 2 pears;

  • ¾ tbsp. thick cream;

  • ¾ tbsp. finely chopped almonds;

  • 1 tbsp. of powdered sugar.


Wash and peel the fruit. Remove the core from apples and pears and cut into thin slices. Oranges and lemons cut into mugs. If there are bones, be sure to remove them. Each circle cut another 4 pieces.

Take a dish, preferably clear, withsides 3-4 cm, lay out on it fruits layers in the following sequence: apples, lemons, then pears and oranges, dates, and on top of bananas. Stir each layer with powdered sugar. Sprinkle with almonds and decorate with whipped cream. Put the cake in the fridge for 2-3 hours.


Such a fruit dessert must be cooked very quickly, otherwise the fruit will drain.
