Cognac punch
Punch was invented in India, and in Europe this drinkcame in the early 17th century, when he was brought from India to England. Initially, the punch was prepared from rum, boiled with sugar, water and various fruits. The name "punch" from Hindi translates as "five", since in this drink there must be five components.





Cognac punch


To make cognac punch you will need:




  • 1 kg of sugar,

  • 10 lemons,

  • 3 oranges,

  • 60 -700 g of sugar,

  • 500 ml of cognac,

  • 500 ml of vodka,

  • 2.5 liters of water.


Preparation





  1. Sugar grind with chopped peel of lemons and oranges.


  2. Fruits carefully cleaned from the white crust, remove the seeds, cut into slices and put in a ceramic or porcelain vase. Then put the sugar with the zest, pour the boiling water.


  3. When the sugar completely melts, and the water cools down, add cognac and vodka.


  4. Cover the dishes with a napkin or lid, then wrap in a thick blanket to prevent the alcohol from evaporating.

  5. After 3 hours strain and serve.
