Preparation of jam from oranges



The aroma of orange jam will help you forget about the winter cold and mentally move to hot countries. To make jam from oranges, we will need:



  • 1 kg of oranges

  • 1 kg of sugar

  • 2 tbsp. water


Oranges are peeled and divided into segments. Carefully remove the grains from the grains. In the dishes, reassigned for cooking jam, we prepare sugar syrup from a kilogram of sugar and two glasses of water. We put orange slices in the syrup, bring it to a boil and remove it from the fire.



We give the syrup with orange slices to cool infor an hour, we pour the syrup into another container, boil for about 10-15 minutes and refill oranges with them. After an hour, merge the syrup and boil again for 10-15 minutes.



Then pour the oranges with the syrup andcook for 10-15 minutes over low heat (until cooked). That the orange jam was more fragrant, it should be put 1-2 tablespoons. orange peel (it must be thinly chopped and scalded with boiling water). To put a peel it is necessary, while jam still hot.



Preparation of jam from lemons



From sour lemons you get a sweet and very fragrant jam. Do not believe me? Try it yourself! For the preparation of jam from lemons, we will need to take:



  • 1 kg of ripe lemons

  • 1.5 kg of sugar

  • 450 ml of water


For jam it is necessary to take ripe, juicy fruit. Lemons, I shall give water to drain, peeled and blanshiruem in boiling water for 15 minutes. Rinse lemons in cold water until they cool.



We divide the lemons into slices, remove the bones (withbones jam will be bitter). We make syrup from water and sugar. Lemons wedges are added to the enameled basin and poured into half of the hot syrup. We withstand 10-12 hours, add the second half of the syrup. Cook the jam over low heat in three meals at intervals of 10-12 hours.



Ready jam poured into dry warmed jars in a hot form, roll up the jars.



Preparation of jam from bananas



Bananas have long seemed to us an exotic fruit. So why not finally equalize them with the usual apples and pears and not cook banana jam? For the preparation of this jam we take:



  • 1 kg of bananas

  • 700 g of sugar

  • 1 tbsp. water

  • 0.5 tbsp. lemon juice

  • 0.5 tbsp. orange juice


To prepare this jam it is better to take dense fruits. Bananas are mine, peeled and cut into pieces of the same size.



In the pot, pour out the water, pour out the sugar, heat on the stove so that the sugar is completely dissolved, and bring the syrup to a boil.



We put the bananas in an enameled container and fill it with sugar syrup. Bring the jam to a boil over low heat, cook for 5 minutes, remove from heat and insist 5 hours.



After 5 hours, cook banana jam until thick, pour lemon and orange juice, mix and cook for another 5 minutes.



We pour out the prepared jam into sterilized jars and roll them up.
