Exit to work after the decree

And now, at last, the hour has come when you,a young mother, decided to resume their job duties and continue to build their careers. You are full of energy and energy after such a long vacation, but from time to time you are seized with a sense of anxiety - think that the qualification is lost, the experience once gained is lost, professional skills are completely forgotten.
This is quite natural. Women do not know what to expect, especially if it's their first child and, accordingly, the first exit after the decree. Returning to the employee in wait for the same problems as the newcomer who came to work. For a year and a half or two years everything in the company can change: course of development, schedule, team. It may happen that, when you return to your place, you will be taken to another environment.
It's really not easy for young mothersadapt to the new order in the old work. But, in any case, it is not necessary to panic, all difficulties are temporary, and no one died from going to work after the decree. Of course, you will have to make some efforts, catch up, get new knowledge and skills. Do not hesitate to seek help from colleagues and directly to the boss. Do not be afraid to ask, be interested, colleagues will see your zeal for work and appreciate it, do not hesitate.
The most important thing - positive attitude towards work, you need to rejoice over it, and not perceive it as punishment. And best of all, if you begin to prepare in advance and will, at least, view the literature on the specialty. By law, mothers of children under fourteen years of age can work part-time or part-time. Therefore, when you leave the maternity leave, you have the right to demand such conditions from your employer.
Although, this phenomenon occurs infrequently. After all, most employers are not ready to provide even a free work schedule for women who have left the maternity leave. In order to tune in to a work atmosphere and not to twitch with excitement, determine in advance where your child will be during your working days - in a kindergarten, with a nanny or with a grandmother.
You should think over all the options: who will take and take away from the kindergarten, who will take the sick leave, if the baby suddenly falls ill, etc. Ask family members not to distract you with calls when you are at work, except in case of emergency. Also explain, what cases you consider as those: if your kid has not finished eating porridge, coughed a couple of times or started to be capricious - then with all this you will figure out the evening when you come home.
Many young mothers are interested in the question - were they not left without work, being on maternity leave? Article 184 of the Labor Code of Ukrainesays that the dismissal of pregnant women, as well as women who have children under the age of three, single mothers in the presence of a child under the age of fourteen years or a child with a disability, on the initiative of the authorities is not allowed. Otherwise, the employer faces both civil and criminal liability.
It is possible that you will be taken to a lower position than you had before your maternity leave, motivating "a break in professional experience." The interval to half a year, in principle, is not consideredessential. But for a longer period of time, the employee, as a rule, loses his skills. Therefore, when there are difficulties with employment after a break, it is better to agree to a more modest post. In the end, you can treat it as a means to restore knowledge and skills. And there already, or talk with the authorities about the increase, or look for another place, but with a modern experience.
