To prepare cucumbers in tomato for this recipe, we need quite a few ingredients. It is the simplicity of cooking and is the main advantage of this method of marinovki. So, we need:



  • cucumbers,

  • tomato juice,

  • garlic,

  • basil,

  • gvozdika,

  • Pepper (as well as any other seasonings to taste),

  • salt - 1.5 tbsp. spoons for each liter of juice.


Cucumbers must be soaked for several hoursjust in the water, then rinse thoroughly. Further we spread them in pre-sterilized cans, it is necessary to lay down densely enough that places among separate cucumbers practically did not remain. Now we start preparing the marinade - spice is poured into the tomato juice, and the presence among them of sweet and ordinary pepper, as well as cloves with garlic, is mandatory.


Now put the resulting mixture on the fire. It is worth noting that some housewives take not ready-made juice or twisted tomatoes, but a normal tomato paste or sauce and just mix them with water. However, this mixture is far from everyone will like, so we recommend using juice from twisted tomatoes or ready.

  • vegetable oil (preferably unrefined) - a glass,

  • tomato sauce - 2 cups,

  • sugar - 200 grams,

  • salt - 1 tbsp. a spoon.


When we have everything, we carefully wash everythingvegetables and start slicing. Cucumbers are best cut with thick rings - up to 5 mm, for everything else the question of cutting is not so critical. That is, we cut vegetables as an ordinary salad, onions can be cut into half rings, pepper (previously peeled) with straws, and simply rubbed carrots on a large grater.


Now you need to prepare marinade. To do this, in a large saucepan mix all the ingredients listed above and bring to a boil. After the mixture boils, pour into it sliced ​​vegetables and stew for an hour. Of course, do not forget to stir occasionally.
