The cooking technology is standard: The meat is marinated, the pieces are roasted on a grill skewer, which are toasted in an upright position. When ready, the meat is cut into a tray, mixed with a vegetable salad, spices and sauce are added (usually ketchup and mayonnaise are used in stalls) and wrapped in thin Armenian lavash. However, this shawarma is easy to make on your own at home, using fresh and favorite foods, and the recipes for this dish are different.


Shaurma with chicken in pita bread


Simple ingredients that you can buy in a regular store near the house:


- Thin Armenian lavash - 3 leaves


- Chicken - 500 grams


- Carrots in Korean - 200 grams


- Fresh cucumber - 3 pcs.


- Fresh tomato - 3 pcs.


- Onion - 2 pcs.


- White cabbage - a quarter of a small head


- Mayonnaise to taste


- Ketchup to taste


- Spices to taste


- Salt to taste


- Vegetable oil for frying


Cooking process: Chicken cut into pieces and fry in a hot frying pan with vegetable oil and spices, a curry, a mixture of peppers or hops-suneli. Cucumber cut into thin slices. Tomato - plates, cabbage chop straw and mash with salt. Lavash sheets cut in half, grease the entire surface evenly with a mixture of mayonnaise and ketchup. For each half lay out the filling, starting from the edge: chicken, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots in Korean, onions. Roll up the pita bread with rolls, bend into the edges. Warm up in the microwave for a few minutes, so that the pita is soaked, and the filling is warmed, and fed to the table.

Shaurma with pork in pita bread


Another way to make shawarma, this time with a juicy pork filling and fresh sour cream sauce. Ingredients:


- Lavash Armenian thin 3 leaves


- Pork 500 grams


- Lettuce or Chinese cabbage - quarter of a head


- Cheese hard - 100 grams


- Fresh tomatoes - 2 pcs.


- Fresh cucumber - 2 pcs.


- Dill 50 grams


- Salt and spices to taste


- Sour cream - 200 grams


- Pickled cucumber - 2 pcs.


- Green onion feathers


- Toothed garlic


Cooking process: On a dry heated frying pan fry the pieces of pork until ready, season with salt and favorite spices. For the sauce, chop the very finely salted cucumber, garlic, chop the onion, mix everything with sour cream. Each pita bread sheet is cut into 2 parts and greased with sauce. Cheese grate on a large grater, chop greens finely and sprinkle pita on the whole surface of cheese and greens. Leaf lettuce or Peking cabbage cut large. Cucumbers and tomatoes cut into thin slices. Lay out the lavash meat, on top of vegetables and salad. Gently turn the lavash so that the filling is wrapped up from all sides. To give shaurma soak, you can warm it up in a microwave, and serve it to the table.
