Necessary ingredients:



  • chicken (breast or chicken leg) - 250 g

Cooking method:



  1. Chicken and put it in a slightly salted boilingwater. Bring to a boil and gently remove the foam. Cook the chicken for about 20 minutes after boiling over medium heat. Filter the broth through a sieve. Carefully remove the meat from the bones, cut into slices and put it back into the broth;

  2. we clear onions and carrots, cut into cubes and fry in vegetable oil over medium heat for 3-4 minutes;

  3. lay out the roast in broth, salt to taste, add bay leaf and pepper, cook for about 5-7 minutes;

  4. add the dumplings to the broth and cook them lightly for 5-6 minutes.

Chicken soup with dumplings made from matzah is a typical dish of Jewish cuisine.


Necessary ingredients:



  • chicken (chopped) - 1-1.5 kg

  • celery stalks - 3-5 pcs

  • carrots - 3-5 pcs.

  • large onion - 2-3 pcs.

  • small parsnip root - 1 pc

  • chopped parsley - 2-3 tbsp. l.

  • chopped dill - 2-3 tbsp. l.

  • garlic - 1 clove

  • Salt, pepper, turmeric - to taste


Cooking method:



  1. chop chicken into pieces and put in a largesaucepan. Onions are cut in the lower part of the cross without cleaning. The root of parsnip is cut in half, celery and carrots cut into thick circles. We put the vegetables in a saucepan, where the chicken already lies, add half the dill, parsley and turmeric. Solim and pepper to taste, add 3-4 liters of water, put on the fire and cover with a lid. Bring to a boil, salt and pepper to taste, reduce fire and cook for 2-3 hours, removing foam from the broth;

  2. we prepare dumplings and lay them out (2-3 pieces each) on plates;

  3. heat the soup, add the remaining dill and chopped garlic. Fill the dumplings with hot soup.

Cooking method:



  1. combine the egg, flour, water and salt, mix thoroughly until a sticky and not very steep dough is produced. If it is too dense, add a little more water;

  2. it is more convenient to make dumplings with just two spoons: dipping the spoon into cold water, we collect dough into it and pour the second spoon into the boiling broth. When cooking, dumplings will increase in volume, so do not make them too large;

  3. cook them for 5-6 minutes with a weak boil.
