Lamb in a pot

Lenten mutton is considered dietary meat, but only on the condition that it is properly prepared without the addition of fat. That is why mutton is often cooked in a pot, where it will be stewed with vegetables. We suggest you also prepare dishes from mutton in pots.
Lamb in a pot: recipe first
What did you hear about Irish cuisine? Most likely nothing. But the Irish are very fond of cooking lamb. We suggest you surprise your loved ones with a dish of Irish cuisine, for the preparation of which you will need such ingredients:
- 500 g of potatoes
- 500 g mutton
- 2 heads of garlic
- 200 g of onions
- olive oil
- basil
- dill
- cumin (zira)
- salt
To begin with, fry in olive oil wholecloves of garlic. While frying garlic, cut the meat into small pieces. Remove the garlic from the oil so you can fry the mutton. Fry pieces of meat on both sides until a beautiful golden crust appears on them.
Fry the lamb in a pot, topadd cumin and chopped onions. Then put the sliced potatoes into small pieces. Salt and pepper the potatoes. In each pot, add basil leaves and chopped dill over the leaf. Now pots with meat can be put in the oven for 40 minutes.
Lamb in pots should be served only hot. Cold meat is not so delicious.

We offer you another recipe for mutton in a pot with various vegetables. To prepare this dish you will need such ingredients:
- 500 g mutton
- 150 g champignons
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 Bulgarian pepper
- 1 eggplant
- several potatoes
- green onion
- salt
- pepper
Before you put lamb to prepare inpots, it should be washed and cut into small pieces, which are fried in a frying pan with vegetable oil. While mutton is fried, you can do vegetables.
Eggplant should be peeled and cut into cubes. Also cut into cubes Bulgarian pepper, champignons, tomatoes, peeled potatoes. Green onions can be cut large enough.
When everything is ready, you can start laying outingredients by potty. First put the meat, top with potatoes and other vegetables. In the pots, pour water or broth. Well salt and pepper the contents of the pots, after which they can be closed with lids and put in the oven for 1.5-2 hours. Ready meat in the pot is served hot.
