cognac - 1-2 tablespoons
cloves - 0,5 tsp grated or 10-15 buds
ginger - 0,5 tsp. (dry or fresh grated)
sugar - to taste
Cranberry rinse and put in enameledsaucepan for cooking sauce. If the cranberries are frozen, you do not need to defrost it. If desired, instead of cranberries, you can take cranberries, currants (red or black) or cherries without pits.
Orange washing, rub the zest on a small grater and add to the berries. We squeeze the juice out of the orange and add it to the saucepan too. We also put ginger and cloves.
We put the saucepan on fire, bring to a boil,Reduce the heat to a minimum and cook for 5-10 minutes (until the berries become soft). Remove the sauce from the fire, lightly crush the cranberries with a fork, add sugar and cognac and mix to allow the sugar to dissolve.
Let the sauce cool and set for a few hours infridge. Keep the sauce in the refrigerator for several days, and if you pack it in a sealed container and put it in the freezer, it can be stored for several months.
