Jam from a water-melon
For this jam you will need:
- 1 kilogram pulp of watermelon
- 200 grams of water
- 4 cups of sugar
- half a teaspoon of citric acid
- vanillin
Slice the pulp in small pieces and pour with water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Then, place the pulp in cold water and place it in the ice. Soak for 6-8 hours.
In the meantime, prepare the sugar syrup. Remove the pulp from the water and pour it with hot sugar syrup. Leave for 12 hours, then drain the syrup, add a glass of sugar, citric acid and vanillin. Put on a fire and bring to a boil. Then dip the flesh into the syrup and cook until the pulp becomes completely clear. Pour the jam over the jars and clog them with covers.
Jam from water-melon crusts
In order to prepare this jam you will need:
- 1 kilogram of watermelon crusts
- 1.5 kilograms of sugar
- 500 milliliters of water
- lemon peel
First, thoroughly wash the watermelon crusts. Then clean them so that they separate the pulp and the peel. There will be a white crust. Cut it into cubes and, placing in boiling water, boil for 5-10 minutes. After this, pivot the crusts on a strainer and cool.
In the meantime, prepare the syrup. For this, pour the sugar with water and bring to a boil. In this case, the syrup must be constantly stirred. When the sugar is completely dissolved, add lemon zest to the syrup.
Transfer the crust into syrup and cook for 20-30 minutes. After that, remove the pan from the heat and leave for 2-3 hours. Repeat the brewing and cooling two more times. Then put it on the fire again and cook until done. When the crusts become completely transparent, then the jam is ready. Pour over cans and cork.
Jam made of watermelon with apples
In order to prepare this jam, you will need:
- 1 kilogram of watermelon crusts
- half kilo of apples
- 1.5 kilograms of sugar
- 500 milliliters of water
- lemon acid
- vanillin
Separate the white crust from the pulp and green peel, cut into cubes. Dip watermelon cubes for 5-7 minutes in hot water, then remove and refrigerate.
Prepare the sugar syrup and add a watermelon to it. Cook until the peel becomes clear. Remove from heat and leave for 7-10 hours.
Then add jam slicesapples. Cook for 20-30 minutes, then remove and leave for 3-4 hours. Repeat the procedure three times. At the last cooking add citric acid and vanillin.
Jam pour on cans and cork with lids.
Jam from watermelon with mint
To prepare this jam, take:
- 4 cups of chopped pulp of watermelon
- a third of a glass of white wine or apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons lemon peel
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 1.5 cups of sugar
- half a teaspoon of black pepper
- half a glass of finely chopped mint
To begin with, mix sugar, zest in a blenderlemon and mint. Then stir in the blender the pulp of watermelon and pepper. Express the watermelon juice. Mix everything and cook until the volume of jam is reduced by half. Add lemon juice, ginger and vinegar or wine. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5-8 minutes. Pour the jam into cans and cork with lids.
