Black Forest (Black Forest Cherry Cake)



To prepare this delicious chocolate-cherry cake, we need the following ingredients:



For the test



  • 6 eggs

  • 1 tbsp. flour

  • 1 tbsp. Sahara

  • 120 g of bitter dark chocolate

  • vanillin to taste

  • butter for mold lubrication


For impregnation



  • 3 tablespoons Sahara

  • 2 tablespoons cherry liqueur

  • 4 tablespoons water


For filling



  • 375 g of powdered sugar

  • 1 egg yolk

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 2 tablespoons cherry liqueur


For decoration



  • 500 ml of pitted cherries

  • 250 ml of creamy cream

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

  • 250 g of dark chocolate



Eggs beat with sugar until thick, firm foam. Black chocolate is broken into small pieces and melted in a water bath. The melted chocolate is gradually introduced into the beaten eggs together with the flour. The form for baking is carefully lubricated with oil and laid out with parchment. The dough is poured into a mold and baked at a temperature of 180 ° C for at least half an hour (we test the test with a sharp wooden stick). We give the ready cake a little cool in the form, then we take it out of the mold and after cutting it we cut horizontally into three cakes.



From water and sugar cook a thick sugar syrup infor 5 minutes. Ready to cool with sir and mix with cherry liqueur. With the resulting cherry syrup we impregnate the cakes and proceed to the preparation of the filling. To do this, beat the butter, gradually introducing into it sugar powder, egg yolk and cherry liqueur. To decorate the fat cream whipped with sugar powder, and the chocolate three on a grater. Cherries can be taken fresh, frozen or canned. Frozen cherries are thawed, but canned to drain.



Half the cream is lubricated with half of the cream and put ona third of the cherries. Cover it with a second cork. The second cake is also lubricated with cream and spread on it a third of the cherries. Cover the third cake, top and sides of the cake grease whipped cream. On the top of the cake we put cherries and sprinkle the finished cake with grated chocolate.
