Homemade Manti



Classic mantas are prepared from lamb andfattening fat. This Uzbek dish has become so popular in the kitchens of different nationalities that a lot of variations of mantels from pork, beef, potatoes and even pumpkins have appeared. Homemade manti with ground beef - step by step recipe



When buying ready-made stuffing for cooking or doingits in a meat grinder, you greatly facilitate the process. You can, of course, chop the meat pieces and yourself, but this will take at least half an hour. For beginners who prepare manti for the first time or for those who are in a hurry to feed guests with a unique dish, beef mincemeat will become a real salvation. Be sure to use this classic mantel for this recipe and you will be convinced that it's quite easy to make homemade manti with a steamer or mantovarki.





Necessary ingredients:




  • flour of the highest grade - 3 cups


  • drinking water - 1-1,5 cups


  • egg -1 pcs.


  • onions - 2 pcs.


  • Beef minced meat (also suitable lamb) - 0.5 kg


  • cumin - 1 tsp.


  • red pepper - 1 tbsp. l.


  • garlic - 6 lobules


  • Salt and pepper black ground to taste




Step-by-step instruction




  1. Cut the onions finely or grind in a meat grinder. Finely chop the garlic.


  2. Mix in a bowl raw minced meat, onion-garlic sliced, assorted peppers, cumin and a little salt.


  3. Put the dough from the egg with flour, adding a little water and salt. The dough should be tight, otherwise the mantles will be boiled. Roll out a sheet of dough and cut into squares, as in the photo.


  4. Spoon a teaspoon into the center of the squares.


  5. Blind manty with minced meat in the easiest way,taking the corners of the squares from the dough with your fingertips. Ready manthes spread on oiled grate manties and cook for a couple of 30-40 minutes. In the pan with water, you can add bay leaves, peppercorns, cloves, dried dill umbrellas or other spices as desired. Serve hot manti with fresh homemade sour cream or classic ajika.







Manty from pork in multivark - step-by-step recipe




Pork mantles are suitable for those who are not usedeat lamb or can not buy this meat in your region. Thanks to the technology of cooking in the multivark, you can taste the taste of real house mantis.





Necessary ingredients:




  • wiry pork - 0,5 kg


  • onions - 2 pcs.


  • Wheat flour - 500 gr.


  • water 200-300 ml


  • chicken egg - 1 pc.


  • bay leaves - 5 pcs.


  • salt


  • Ground pepper - 2/3 tsp.


  • butter or vegetable oil for lubrication




Step-by-step instruction




  1. Beat the egg in a bowl, pour in 200 ml of water andlightly salt and stir. In the egg mixture, pour the flour gradually and knead the tight dough. Adjust the ratio of flour and water, depending on the quality of the flour.


  2. Pork chop finely with a knife. Do the same with peeled onions. Sprinkle with salt and ground pepper.


  3. Roll out the dough in a thin layer. Cut out the large circles with a glass. In the center of the circle put the meat filling and close the round billet over the filling with two edges. Open the free edge of the dough with a 2-fold envelope and connect it to the opposite side. If this technique seems too complicated for you, then blind large mantles in the form of pelmeni.


  4. Lay the mantles on a steaming mold, greased with cream or vegetable oil. Pour the water into the bowl of the multivariate and add the laurel leaves. Put the cook in steaming mode.







Manty with potatoes - step by step recipe



Manties with potatoes are essentially like vareniki. This is an interesting dish to serve, especially if you already have a basic meat dish. A mixture of your favorite oriental spices from zira, cumin and other spices will adorn the manti with a piquant aroma.





Necessary ingredients:




  • flour - 400 gr.


  • water 150 ml


  • egg - 1 pc.


  • butter - 60 gr.


  • sour cream - 60 gr.


  • potatoes - 400 gr.


  • salt and pepper


  • eastern spices - 1 tsp.




Step-by-step instruction




  1. Knead classic dumpling pastry. To do this, mix the egg, salt, water and flour.


  2. Boil the potatoes, salt, pepper, add oriental spices and mash into a thick mashed potatoes.


  3. Roll out the dough, cut out round billets and distribute potatoes to them.


  4. Blind the workpieces from the dough, giving them the shape of classic mantles or ravioli.


  5. Cook in the manties. It takes a little less time than cooking manti with meat. Be sure to grease the grilles with a small piece of butter before cooking.


  6. Melt butter in a frying pan, mix it with sour cream. Pour the prepared dish with sour cream sauce.
