How to Dry Apples in the Sun

The oldest kind of drying is possible and the mostlong - but under the sunlight retained more vitamins. Sort the apples, make sure they are not rotten. Wash all the fruits and dry them, and then remove the core and cut - you can cut into slices, and can be mugs, but that, and then it must be very thin, so that the apples quickly dried, not having time to bend.

Theoretically, this is the kind of drying where you canto peel apples from the peel, but they still risk losing some form (although the taste, of course, will not change). Soak the lobules or circles in the saline solution (very weak, 1 teaspoon of salt without a slide to a liter of water) - not for long, about 3 minutes, so that the lobules do not turn yellow. If the yellow color suits you, you can skip this step.

Dry it. Put all the slices on a baking tray or on a wooden tray, maximum in two rows, and put in the sun. It is best if they have access to fresh air (preferably a small breeze). Turn the workpiece several times a day, so that the lobules are dried evenly. Drying apples in the sun lasts about 4 days, it depends mainly on the weather (if it's sunny all the time).

How to Dry Apples in the oven

A good recipe for urban conditions, and timedrying takes 8 hours. Pick apples for drying, wash them and cut out the core. If you dry them with lobules, you can simply cut first each fruit in half, but if you want to dry the apples in circles, it is better to use a special tool to remove the core from the whole apple. Then cut them.

Slices or circles should be approximatelythe same thickness - up to 8 mm. Put the baking paper on the baking sheet, and on it lay the apples (so that they do not stick if something goes wrong). Put the oven at 50 degrees, then gradually increase to 80 and in the end again reduce to 40-50 degrees. Once a hour, open the oven and turn the slices or circles.

In the first hours it is better to keep the oven doora little open - at this time moisture comes out of the apples most actively, and they are dried, but not baked. You can also make sweet dried apples - then before you put them in the oven, soak the sliced fruit in sugar syrup (but do not cook in it).

How to Dry Apples in a Microwave

One of the fastest ways - it takes twoand a half minutes for each serving. In this version, the main thing is not to dry the apples. Wash and cut the fruit without a core in any way, lay it on a plate lined with a piece of linen cloth (cotton is also suitable). Set the microwave to 200 watts and 2.5 minutes of time. If you need to dry the apples after this, put them in the microwave for another half a minute.
