Apple jam



For the preparation of apple jam we will take such products:



  • apples - 1,5 kg

  • sugar - 700 g

  • water - 200 ml


In general, this recipe is designed for a kilogram of apples- but only purified. So it's better to take a little more apples - 1.5 kg - so that after cleaning them there are as many as necessary. Apples we wash, peel and seed, cut into pieces.



Take the enamel pot, spread the apples into it, fill it with water, bring it to a boil and cook it over a small fire for 20 minutes, covering it with a lid. During this time apples should be boiled.



Wipe the apples through a colander or strainer, transfer the apple sauce into a saucepan, add sugar and boil for about 40 minutes. Puree should be stirred from time to time, so it does not burn.



Ready boiling jam is poured into warmsterilized cans to the very top, tightly wrapped with sterilized tin lids. We turn the jars upside down and wrap ourselves up with a blanket. When the jars cool down, keep the jam at room temperature.



Apple jam with cinnamon



Cinnamon will give the apple jam more piquant taste. For its preparation we will need:



  • apples - 1.5 kg (yield of processed apples - 1 kg)

  • sugar - 700 g

  • water 150 ml

  • ground cinnamon - 0,5 tsp

  • lemon juice - 0.5 tsp.


Prepare apples and make apple puree sosame as in the previous recipe. In mashed potatoes add sugar mixed with cinnamon, mix and cook for 40-50 minutes, without forgetting to stir occasionally jam. The longer we decay the jam, the denser it will be. After removing from the fire, add lemon juice to the jam, stir and pack in the jars the same way as in the previous case.



Apple jam with lemon and watermelon



A very original recipe - jam from apples, cooked with the addition of watermelon and lemon. To make this jam you need to take:



  • apples - 1 kg

  • pulp of watermelon - 1 kg

  • sugar - 1 kg

  • lemon - 1 pc.


My apples, peeled from the skin and seeds, cutpieces. From the watermelon flesh, we extract the bones and cut them in the same pieces as the apples. Fold pieces of apples and watermelon in an enamel saucepan, stir and heat for 25-30 minutes on low heat until apples become soft.



We rub the resulting mass through a sieve. Add sugar and cook, stirring occasionally, until thick. My lemon and finely chopped together with the peel, add to the jam about 10 minutes before the end of cooking.



Ready jam is poured over sterilized jars and rolled.
