Pumpkin jam with orange
Usually, citrus fruits (lemons, oranges) or apples are added to the pumpkin jam. We suggest starting with the preparation of jam from a pumpkin with orange. For this we need the following ingredients:
1 kg of pumpkin
1 orange
1 tbsp. Sahara
1 tsp. citric acid
Gourd my pumpkin, peel and sunflower seeds. Cut pumpkin flesh into small cubes. Orange my and cut the pieces together with the skin. Pumpkin, orange and citric acid are put in an enamel saucepan, covered with sugar and mixed.
When a pumpkin with orange begins to stand outjuice, put the pan on the stove and let its contents boil. Cook the jam, stirring, over medium heat for ten minutes. We put the prepared jam on prepared cans (it is better to take jars of small capacity), we seal with metal lids.
Pumpkin jam with lemon and spices
As we have already said, instead of orange you can add lemon to the pumpkin jam. And that it was more fragrant, you can put in the jam in a jam spice - clove and sweet pepper. For the preparation of jam, we take:
pumpkin - 1 kg
sugar - 800 g
lemon - 2 pcs.
cloves - 5-7 buds
sweet pepper - 5-7 peas
We clean the pumpkin and cut the flesh into cubes. We put the cubes from the pumpkin in an enamel pot, set it on slow fire and stew until the pumpkin is soft (if the pumpkin is not too juicy, you can add a little water during the extinguishing).
Add sugar to the softened pumpkin and cook15-20 minutes, stirring. Squeeze into the pan juice from lemons, add sweet pepper and cloves and boil until thick, not forgetting to stir constantly. We take the spices and put the jam in sterilized jars. We roll up, turn the jars upside down and wrap them up before cooling down.
Pumpkin jam with apples
Here is another version of pumpkin jam, this time with the addition of apples. To make a pumpkin jam with apples, we will need to stock up with such products:
pumpkin - 1 kg
sugar - 800 g
apples (peeled) - 400 g
lemon - 2 pcs.
Pumpkin and apples washing, clean and cutcircles. Stew apples and pumpkin in different saucepans over low heat until they become soft. Combine the stewed apples and pumpkin in one pan, add sugar and cook for 15 minutes. Squeeze into the pan lemon juice and cook until thick, all the time stirring. Ready jam in hot form is packaged on sterilized jars. Banks with jam roll, turn upside down and wrap up before cooling down.
Pumpkin jam with dried apricots
And in sunny jam from a pumpkin you can add sun dried apricots. Prepared such a jam is very simple, it is used while cooking in several receptions. For its preparation, only three ingredients will be needed:
pumpkin - 1 kg
sugar - 0,5 kg
dried apricots - 300 g
Gourd my pumpkin, peel and seed and rub iton a large grater. Dried apricots carefully and cut into thin straws. We connect the grated pumpkin with dried apricots, mix and cover with sugar. When the pumpkin leaves the juice, put it on the fire, bring it to a boil (do not forget to stir it), and then cool it. So repeat a few times until the pumpkin is boiled. We put the prepared jam on sterile jars and roll it up.
