Rabbit stewed in sour cream



To prepare this dish you will need the following ingredients:



  • rabbit - 1 pc.

  • sour cream - 400 g

  • onions - 2 pcs.

  • carrots - 1 pc.

  • bay leaves - 1 pc.

  • vegetable oil

  • seasonings for meat

  • marjoram

  • ground black pepper

  • salt


My rabbit and cut into pieces. Sprinkle the meat with ground black pepper, salt and leave for half an hour, so that the meat is soaked. Then fry the rabbit pieces in vegetable oil until golden brown.



Onions and carrots are cleaned. Onions cut into rings, carrots three on a large grater and fry vegetables in vegetable oil.



Take a saucepan with a thick bottom and put in it fried onions and carrots. From above on vegetables we put pieces of the rabbit.



Now prepare the sauce. We pour 100 ml of hot water into sour cream, add marjoram and a mixture of seasonings for meat dishes, mix and sauce meat in a saucepan.



Stew the rabbit for 40 minutes over low heat. Then add to the pan in the bay leaf and stew for about 20 minutes. As the liquid boils off, you can pour boiled water into a saucepan.
