The celery contains a lot of nutrients: vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B6, B9, T, K, PP,minerals (phosphorus, calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, sodium), pectins, organic acids, essential oils. There are a lot of salt in the stalks of celery. Celery is used in medicine as a diuretic for diseases of the bladder and kidneys. In addition, the stalk of celery has a tonic effect.



Celery diet refers to mono-diet -diets based on the use of a single product. This does not mean that other products can not be used at all, they are simply subject to certain restrictions. The basis of the diet of a celery diet is celery soup.



Celery Diet: Soup Recipe



There are several recipes for celery soup, we offer you the two most common options.



Option 1



We will need soup:



  • celery root - 200 g

  • tomato juice - 1,5 l

  • cabbage

  • carrots - 6 pcs.

  • tomatoes - 6 pcs.

  • onions - 2 pcs.

  • green pepper - 2 pcs.

  • green beans


Finely cut all the vegetables, pour tomato juice. Vegetables should be covered with juice, if it is not enough - add water. Bring to a boil on high heat, boil for 10 minutes, cover with a lid, reduce heat and boil for another 10 minutes.



Option 2



To prepare the second version of the soup of celery, we take:



  • Celery greens - 1 beam

  • water - 3 l

  • cabbage

  • onions - 6 pcs.

  • tomatoes - 2 pcs.

  • Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc.

  • spices (any)


Finely cut all the vegetables, pour water, bring to a boil and cook over low heat for 15 minutes.



Celery Diet: Menu



Celery diet lasts two weeks. Every day you need to eat celery soup in anyat least three times a day. In addition to soup, you can eat vegetables, fruits, fish, lean chicken or beef. It is necessary to drink a lot of liquid (mineral water without gas, green or herbal tea without sugar). Prohibited: sugar, alcohol, soda, bread, fatty foods, sweets, marinades, pickles. Salt is not needed - it is a lot in celery.



The menu of the celery diet looks like this:



Day 1 and 8: soup, fresh fruit (only not bananas).

Day 2 and 9: soup, raw vegetables.

Day 3 and 10: soup, vegetables (you can potatoes, boiled in a uniform).

Day 4 and 11: soup, 3 bananas, low-fat kefir.

Day 5, 6, 12 and 13: soup, 6 tomatoes, boiled beef, chicken or fish, 8 glasses of water.

Day 7 and 14: soup, brown rice, vegetables.



There is also a second menu option:



Day 1 and 8: soup, fresh fruit (only not bananas).

Day 2 and 9: soup, green vegetables (fresh or canned except for legumes, corn and peas), baked potatoes with vegetable oil for dinner.

Day 3 and 10: soup, vegetables (only not potatoes).

Day 4 and 11: soup, fruits and vegetables (bananas can be), skim milk.

Day 5 and 12: soup, tomatoes, beef.

Day 6 and 13: soup, vegetables (preferably leafy), beef.

Day 7 and 14: soup, brown rice, vegetables, fruit juice.



Celery diet allows you to throw about 5-7 kilograms. If for the first 5-7 diets you have lost more than 7 kilograms, you need to make a two-day break in the diet, and then resume it. Repeat it can be no sooner than two months.



Celery diet is contraindicated in chronic diseases. Before you sit down, you need to consult a doctor.
