American Pancakes: Recipe for Cooking
Light and delicate American pancakes are perfectsuitable for breakfast. Moreover, you can add berries to the dough before baking pancakes. Traditionally in America they add blueberries to the dough, which you can do. But in general for the preparation of pancakes you will need such ingredients:
- 150 g of flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder for dough
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tbsp. l. powdered sugar
- 130 ml of milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. l. melted butter (can be replaced by olive oil)
In the sifted flour, add baking powder, salt andpowdered sugar. Lightly beat the egg with milk, then add melted butter. Pour the beaten milk with the egg into the flour and whisk the batter until it becomes soft and uniform. Any lumps that could appear will soon disappear. Set the dough aside for a few minutes.
Heat a frying pan, melt it with creambutter. The dough is poured onto the hot pan with a ladle. You might think that the pancakes will turn out to be too thick, but that's how it should be in reality. When bubbles begin to appear on the surface of the dough, turn the pancake to the other side. Next, bake a pancake with one or the other, until it turns golden.
Serve American pancakes with maple syrup or butter.
In addition, in the US, not only berries are added to pancakes, which is ideal for a summer breakfast. Pancakes are watered with maple syrup and served with fried bacon. This combination of tastes may seemquite unusual, but in fact it is very tasty. Crunchy slightly brackish bacon becomes an excellent addition to American pancakes, watered maple syrup.
