Stuffed zucchiniZucchini - a truly universal vegetable. You can simply fry it, cut into circles, add salads and stew, use it for cooking zucchini caviar, pancakes and a variety of snacks. And you can cook stuffed zucchini - a hearty and tasty dish.






Stewed stuffed zucchini



To prepare this dish we will need:



  • 2-3 large zucchini

  • 700 g raw minced meat

  • 100 g sour cream

  • 1 onion

  • 2 bay leaves

  • salt to taste


Marrows are cleaned and cut into large circles(cylinders) with a height of about 7 cm. We take out the mid-grain from each piece of vegetable marrow, along with the grains, leaving the bottom - so that the "cups" turn out to be. Fill each "cup" of zucchini with minced meat (you can take ready stuffing for cabbage rolls with rice and onions).



We take a pot and vertically put in it stuffed squash "cups". We put the previously cleaned onion into the pot and pour the boiling water - it should cover the courgettes.



Put the pot on the stove and bring the water to a boil. As soon as the water boils, reduce the fire, add sour cream and bay leaf, salt to taste and stew for about an hour.



Stuffed zucchini in the oven



Stuffed zucchini can be not only stewed, but also baked in the oven. To prepare this dish we will need to take:



  • 3 young zucchini

  • 400 g minced meat

  • 100 grams of hard cheese

  • 100 g of mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons canned sweet corn

  • 1 onion

  • 1 tomato

  • seasoning: black pepper, hops-suneli, salt - to taste

  • cooking oil for frying


Onions are cleaned, finely chopped and friedvegetable oil. Add the minced meat (frying pork, beef - it does not matter) to the pan and fry until done, not forgetting to stir (it will take about 10 minutes). Salt forcemeat, add pepper and hops-suneli.



My tomato, we remove seeds, and finely chop the flesh. Mix the tomato with the canned corn.



Then we prepare zucchini. Mine them, cut along into two halves, "boats" and carefully take out the seeds and pulp with a teaspoon. It is important not to damage the bottom and edges.



Ready mixed meat with onion mixed with vegetables (corn and tomato), fill the prepared halves of zucchini with this mixture.



Hard cheese rubbed on a fine grater and mixed with mayonnaise. Lubricate the stuffed zucchini with cheese mixture and bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
