Homemade honey cake with sour cream


For cooking, you will need:

  • sour cream - 0,5 l

  • flour

  • walnuts, ground


Preparation:



  1. Prepare the dough. Honey is mixed with sugar and butter andput on a water bath. Constantly stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. The mixture is slightly cooled. We add eggs and salt. Stirring. Add the soda, slaked with vinegar. Add the sifted flour. The dough should not be very steep, flour should be taken as much as necessary, so that the dough rolls out without sticking to the hands.

  2. We divide the received dough into 4-5 pieces,roll them into round cakes, about 0.5-1 cm thick. Put each cake on a baking tray (or in a mold), lightly sprinkled with flour. We work with a fork in several places. We bake the cake in the oven, heated to about 200 ° C.
  3. Cooking the cream. Sour cream is mixed with sugar and beat for a few minutes.

  4. Ready cakes are laid out on a dish and eachplentifully spread the cream and sprinkle with chopped walnuts. The edges are leveled, greased with sour cream and sprinkled with nuts. For the upper cake, a pre-prepared piece of dough can be thinly rolled and baked. It should turn out to be fragile. Bake a small piece and sprinkle the top and sides of the cake with crumbs.

  5. Put the cake in a cool place for impregnation for several hours.
