Cookies with cinnamon Snickerdoodles



In some Western countries (primarily in theUSA) is very popular cinnamon cookies, called Snickerdoodles. This is a soft or crunchy biscuit, which is baked in sugar with cinnamon before baking. A characteristic feature of such cookies is a cracked surface. For the preparation of Snickerdoodles cookies we will need such products:



  • 2 3/4 cups * flour

  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar

  • 1 cup of butter

  • 2 large eggs

  • 3 tbsp. l. Sahara

  • 3 tsp. cinnamon

  • 2 tsp. tartar (also called cream tartar / cream of tartar, potassium tartrate, potassium bitartrate)

  • 1 tsp. baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp. salt


* 1 cup equals approximately 240 ml



Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Thoroughly mix in a large bowl of oil, and a half cup of sugar and eggs. In a separate bowl, combine flour, tartar, soda and salt. Gradually, we mix dry ingredients into the oil mixture. We cool the dough and baking tray in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.



While the dough cools, mix 3 tbsp. l. sugar and 3 tsp. ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll balls from the dough 2-3 cm in diameter and gently roll them in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. We put the balls of their dough on a cooled baking sheet (do not lubricate the baking tray) at some distance from each other and bake for 10 minutes, and then immediately remove it from the oven and remove it from the pan.



Chocolate-coffee biscuits with cinnamon



The delicate taste of cinnamon perfectly matches with chocolate and coffee. Why not take advantage of this and cook a chocolate cookie with cinnamon and coffee? For this we take the following ingredients:



  • 2 1/2 tbsp. flour

  • 1 1/2 tbsp. Sahara

  • 1 tbsp. powdered sugar

  • 150 g of dark chocolate

  • 100 g of butter

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 tbsp. l. instant coffee

  • 1 tbsp. l. cinnamon

  • 2 tsp. baking powder

  • a pinch of salt


Eggs break into a bowl and whisk about fiveminutes. Then add sugar, a pinch of salt and whisk for another two minutes. Melted butter with chocolate in a water bath until smooth. Lightly cool and pour the chocolate-oil mixture into the beaten eggs. Thoroughly mix (you can with a mixer).



Mix the flour with coffee, baking powder and cinnamon. Add the dry ingredients to the chocolate-egg mass and knead it well with the hands, a very soft dough should turn out. We put it in the refrigerator for at least two hours, or better at night. The cooled dough should be similar in consistence to plasticine.



Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. We cover the baking tray with culinary parchment. From the dough we make balls with the size of a walnut. Spread the balls on a baking sheet and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Bake 10-11 minutes, take out of the oven and cool.



Apple cookies with cinnamon



Apples and cinnamon are a classic combination, so it's a sin not to use it in cooking cookies. For the preparation of apple cookies with cinnamon, we take:



  • 200 g of butter

  • 2 tbsp. flour

  • 1/2 tbsp. milk

  • 1/4 tbsp. Sahara

  • 2 apples

  • 2 tsp. baking powder

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1/2 tsp. soda

  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg


Preheat oven to 200 degrees and coverbaking sheet for baking. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, soda and salt. Add the chilled butter, chopped, and mix. As a result, the mass should resemble loose wet sand.



Apples are cleaned, rubbed on a grater, add todough and mix. Gradually pour in the milk until the dough thickens. Sprinkle the board with flour, roll out the dough and cut into small triangles. Lay the triangles on a baking sheet, sprinkle with sugar and bake until golden brown (12-15 minutes). We serve cookies warm.
