Fried squid rings of squid are an excellent appetizer for beer, but they can be served as a separate dish. This dish is very easy to prepare and quickly. To cook squid in batter, we will need:



  • squid carcasses - 6 pcs.

  • eggs - 6 pcs.

  • flour - 250 g

  • light beer - 250 g

  • salt to taste

  • cooking oil for frying


For this dish, it is best to take squid carcassesThe average size is about 20 cm in length. Thoroughly wash the carcasses of squid, remove the insides and chitinous rod (chord). We lower the squid into hot water for 5 minutes, remove the carcass from the carcasses and dip them into salted boiling water for 2 minutes.



We take the squid out of boiling water, let them cool down andcarefully cut into rings. Then we prepare the batter. To do this, you need to break the eggs, separate the proteins from the yolks and whip the proteins into a soft foam. Mix the yolks with flour and beer until we have a homogeneous mass of yellowish color. Pour the beaten proteins and salt to taste.



In a frying pan with a thick bottom, heat the oil tomoderate temperature. Each ring of squid is dipped in a batter, let the excess of batter drop into the frying pan. Between the rings you need to leave a little free space, so that the clay does not stick together. Fry rings in oil until golden. Finished squid rings are taken out with a noise and dried with paper napkins.
