Pea soup can be cooked in different ways. Someone adds meat and fries more, someone likes a more lean option. Today we propose to make an incredibly aromatic and hearty soup made of peas and smoked products. There are also many variations. It all depends on the choice of these very smoked foods. Below you will find a recipe with the addition of smoked pork loin.







Recipe for pea soup with smoked meat



The main rule in the preparation of this or anyanother pea soup - a choice of peas. It must necessarily be of cereal varieties, preferably Dutch. Prepare all the necessary products and you can start cooking!



Necessary ingredients:




  • peas whole cereal varieties - 250 g


  • onions - 1 pc


  • smoked pork loin - 150 g


  • garlic - 1 clove


  • salt, pepper black ground and fragrant


  • potatoes - 4 pcs.


  • laurel leaf - 1 pc


  • sunflower oil


  • carrots - 1 pc


  • greenery

Cooking method:




  1. Remove the peas and rinse thoroughly. Soak in cold water and leave for a few hours. Periodically change the water.


  2. Onion and garlic clean, but do not cut.


  3. Prepare a large saucepan (3-4 liters), pourin it water, put peas, a clove of garlic, an onion and pepper with fragrant pepper. Cook for about two hours, periodically removing the foam. Peas should be boiled and turned into mashed potatoes.


  4. Peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes. Carrots grate on a large grater or thinly cut into strips. Put the vegetables in the broth, and get the bulb. Add the bay leaf, salt, pepper with ground pepper and cook for another 15-20 minutes.


  5. Pork cut into small oblong slices and fry in vegetable oil. The koreika should acquire a ruddy shade.


  6. When the potatoes in the soup cooked, add smoked, boil and set aside.



Sprinkle with chopped greens - and dinner is ready! Bon Appetit!

Here are some interesting tips and recipes:




  • very tasty to serve pea soup with homemadecrackers. Prepare them in the following way: cut white bread into cubes. Through the press, skip a few cloves of garlic, add a little vegetable oil, favorite spices and salt. Stir and place in a normal cellophane bag. Place bread pieces. Wrap the cellophane and take a good bite so that our future crackers are saturated with spices. Now fry the bread on a dry non-stick frying pan and everything is ready;


  • Pea soup in each country is prepared by differentways. For example in western Ukraine, at the end of cooking add fresh squeezed through a press garlic, Italian parmesan cheese, and tomato paste in Mongolia;


  • for the soup you can use dried peas. Throw it into the boiling broth before putting the rest of the food;


  • if the peas are crushed, it is not necessary to soak it;


  • if you want to make a dish with toast, then onion and carrots fry in oil and send to broth;


  • Also pea soup can be cooked with mushrooms. The best suited are dried, but they can be replaced with champignons;


  • the most suitable spices: cumin, basil, curry, Italian herbs, turmeric, dried garlic;


  • in addition to soup, soup suits such smoked meat: ribs, bacon, cervelat, sausage and even a smoked chicken. You can even try to mix several species as an experiment.
